As a member of the Baby Boom generation, I know people of my era, including myself, are not getting any younger. Our health as we age is very important.
The City of Fishers recognizes there is a growing part of the local population aging and local officials have put together a group to submit recommendations for actions the city should take to deal with this.
In early March, Fishers announced the creation of the Aging & Wellness Task Force. That group is charged with exploring programming, resources, and infrastructure to better serve Fishers’ senior population.
The Task Force is asking for your help. A short survey has been placed online. The city is hoping seniors, caregivers, or interested community members provide responses aimed at shaping future recommendations for healthy aging in our city.
The survey is open through May 6 and can be accessed at this link.
The Task Force is Co-chaired by Fishers City Councilman Bill Stuart and Dr. Juanita Albright, a local physician and President of the Hamilton Southeastern School District Board of Trustees,
