Howard Companies is going to be conducting sidewalk repair improvements in the Avalon Neighborhood beginning December 9 and CC&T will be continuing sidewalk repairs in Meadow Brook the same week. The sidewalk work will consist of removal and replacement of sidewalk panels which pose a toe kick trip hazard. Sidewalk within driveways is not included in the scope of this project.
PROJECTS NORTH OF 116TH STREET
*TRAFFIC PATTERN UPDATE *
Please be advised, beginning on or after Thursday, December 19th, the contractor will implement a traffic phase shift for eastbound 146th Street. Traffic will be shifted to the south and will now utilize the bridge carrying eastbound 146th Street over the White River. The contractor will utilize construction barrels to delineate the driving area from the construction zone.
Please use extreme caution when driving in this area and watch for flaggers during the phase shift.
Please use extreme caution and follow the 35mph posted speed limit when traveling through the work zone. Left turns are prohibited in all directions at the intersection. Please see the included intersection diagram here, for the movements that are allowed. Periodic lane closures and intermittent stoppages may be necessary to complete certain work items. Please watch for flaggers and workers in and around the construction zone.
*TRAFFIC PATTERN UPDATE ON ALLISONVILLE & 96TH ST*
The 96th & Allisonville roundabout is now open and accessible in all directions, making travel smoother and safer at one of the main gateways to our City. Please proceed through with caution as this is still an active construction site. *Watch out for lane restrictions in the coming week – the contractor will be working on signal and pavement work.*
HERITAGE PARK BRIDGE – TRAIL CLOSURE
The City of Fishers has partnered with the City of Carmel, Clay Township, Carmel Clay Parks and Recreation, Hamilton County, and Delaware Township to connect Heritage Park at White River and Carmel’s Hazel Landing Park with a bridge over White River. This new amenity will provide enhanced connectivity between the two communities, as well as new recreational opportunities for our residents. To construct this bridge, the contractor will need to restrict access to a portion of Heritage Park’s loop trail that runs adjacent to the river through the woods beginning the week of March 4, click here for an ariel view. During this time, you’ll notice temporary construction fencing going up as we prepare for construction. Beginning the week of March 11, the contractor will work to clear the necessary trees between the park and river. Bridge construction will follow beginning in May. Construction is expected to occur Monday through Saturday beginning at 7 a.m. The bridge is expected to be complete in August 2025.
